Shrimp and beef combine in these delicious tacos for a flavor and texture experience you won't soon forget.

The basic ingredients in tacos seem to remain fairly similar across the board. Protein is almost always the base. From beef to chicken to seafood to beans though, there are certainly plenty of options. The meat is usually followed by a sauce or salsa for extra flavor. On top of the meat and sauce usually comes lettuce or cabbage and finally some kind of cheese. The entire stacked combination is surrounded by a tortilla or a shell.

The basic taco formula has widely gained respect, admiration and a loyal following. And yet, variations on the theme continue to have success as well. So well loved is the taco that it seems that it can be made of almost anything. The following recipe isn't going to show up at your fast food restaurant any time soon. It's a little too far from simple beef, beans and cheese. It may, however, start showing up on your dining room table every once in awhile. The simple formula with some variation has turned out to be a delicious combination of foods.

This taco dinner is sure to please your family and your guests alike. The lime and mango comination is perfect with the shrimp. The textures of the peppers, mangoes, shrimp and beef combine for a delightful chewing experience. These tacos can be made lighter by substituting a lighter seasoning with a white fish and ommitting the beef. The mango salsa compliments most fish quite nicely. You may also want to use a crunchy taco shell if you are going that directions. As they are, the beef and shripm tacos make a fun and colorful summertime meal that is still quite hearty and filling. Enjoy!
